My 5 GIFs for my project show 5 different facts about the human body, here they are in order of creation.

My animation is called "Gone Fishing". It's about a rather large goldfish named Flopper who meets his unfortunate end by getting caught on a hook. My animation was heavily inspired by fishing in Fortnite, seeing he's one of the fishes you can catch. Even though this animation is short and simple, it was pretty hard to make as I got burnt out from working on it. I'm pretty happy with the end result of my animation. I used lots of squash and stretch and timing and motion in my animation. The 21 Foundations of AnimationMy animation. For our latest project, we were tasked with creating an illustration that shows some form of social commentary. This could be anything from environmental issues, to politics. My project focuses on the issues of social media. While I do have social media, I'm mostly inactive and don't care much when I get likes. Some people however, are addicted to receiving likes. My image shows a like icon using a bike pump to inflate an ego, relating to how likes can cause people's egos to grow in real life.
A GIF is a file format that supports animated and non animated images. The word GIF itself, stands for Graphic Interchange Format and it was created by Steve Wilhite. I made my GIF using both Krita and EzGIF.com. My GIF is based on the meme "Cursed Emoji"(Below), who is often pictured as unstable, shaky and panicky. I also referenced the "Vibe Check" meme in this gif (On the right). Trappers Festival is celebrated in our very own town of The Pas. It officially began in 1947 and continued on since then. Trappers is important since it brings together our town and others to have fun with the festivities. Trappers Festival is kind of what put The Pas on the map in my mind so it's very important for us. My badge represents the keystone kops. I showed this theme by making police tape out of plaid, since you get these pins from being "arrested" by the keystone kops for not wearing fur. I used a combination of Krita and Photoshop to make these designs.
I designed a poster to advertise The Pas using Gimp. Gimp is free alternative to Photoshop which you can download on any computer. My poster has a lot of images that have transparent backgrounds, in order to do this on gimp, you need to use either the lasso tool or the magic selection tool. These tools can be used to select around what you want to cut, you cut the background using the control+x shortcut on your keyboard. The theme of my poster is the history of The Pas. It shows many of the famous locations and buildings you can see around town such as the trapper sign or the Lido. This poster also promotes local tourism. Local tourism helps small towns because it draws attention to the town and it helps our local economy. It wasn't what I was used to, but I ended up with a decent end product using Gimp.
The elements of art and design are components of physical and digital design. These elements can be used on their own or in combinations to help you create your own proper designs. Usually there will be 7 elements or even 5 but there are as many as 14. Takashi murakami's Flowers Blooming in the World and the Land of NirvanaThis piece of artwork uses elements such as geometric shapes, organic shapes, colour, contrast and unity. Here is a detailed chart that I have created showcasing most of the major elements of art and design. Now my chart was meant to be made in a program called Krita which is a free program you can download on any PC. Krita didn't work out very well in my case but if you follow some tutorials such as the video below you can make your very own chart. Krita has many tools to pick from and a very useful smoothing tool for brushes. Once you get started with it you really get used to it. I hope you have loads of fun trying out Krita and other drawing programs and try to remember to use the elements of art and design to make your work look its best!
